General
What is ASM and how does it relate to Amore Stone?+
ASM is our operating name and stands for two divisions: Amore Stone Masonry — our construction and masonry branch — and All Seasons Maintenance — our property upkeep and snow removal branch. Amore Stone is our legal business name. Both services operate under the ASM umbrella, so whether we're refacing your home or clearing your driveway after a snowfall, you're working with the same trusted team.
What areas do you serve?+
We proudly serve homeowners across the Greater Toronto Area including Aurora, Newmarket, Richmond Hill, Vaughan, Markham, Oakville, North York, Etobicoke, and surrounding communities. Not sure if we cover your area? Give us a call at 416-995-6288 and we'll confirm.
How long has Amore Stone been in business?+
We've been serving GTA homeowners since 2012 — over a decade of hands-on masonry, exterior improvements, and property care. That experience means we've seen almost every type of facade, foundation, and stone condition, and we know exactly how to approach each one.
Do you work on both residential and commercial properties?+
Our primary focus is residential — homeowners looking to upgrade, restore, or maintain their property's exterior. We do take on select commercial work on a case-by-case basis. Contact us to discuss your project and we'll let you know if it's a good fit.

Masonry & Stone
What masonry services do you offer?+
Our masonry services cover a wide range of exterior work including flagstone porches and patios, walkway and garden designs, custom gates, chimney repairs and rebuilds, window sill repair and replacement, parging, brick restoration, tuckpointing, and foundation waterproofing. If it's stone, brick, or concrete on the exterior of your home — we handle it.
What is flagstone and why is it a good choice for a porch or patio?+
Flagstone is a natural flat stone used for patios, porches, walkways, and steps. It's a premium choice because it's incredibly durable, handles Ontario's freeze-thaw cycles well, and gives your home a timeless, high-end look that adds real curb appeal and property value. No two flagstone installs look exactly the same — each one is custom.
Can you install gates as part of a masonry project?+
Yes. We design and install gates that integrate with stone pillars, brick columns, or interlock driveways. A gate project is typically done alongside a broader curb appeal upgrade — we'll assess your existing exterior and recommend an approach that ties everything together cleanly.
Are your materials built for Ontario winters?+
Absolutely. We only use materials rated for Canadian climate conditions — meaning they're engineered to handle repeated freeze-thaw cycles without cracking, spalling, or shifting. Proper installation technique matters just as much as the materials themselves, and our approach accounts for drainage, substrate prep, and climate movement in every job.

Facades & Refacing
What does a wood-to-stone or brick-to-stone reface involve?+
A reface means we replace your existing exterior cladding — whether that's aging wood siding or dated brick — with a premium stone veneer or facing. The result is a completely transformed look that's more durable, lower maintenance, and significantly higher in curb appeal and resale value. We manage the full scope: removal, substrate prep, material selection, and installation.
How much does a facade upgrade add to my home's value?+
Exterior stone refacing consistently ranks among the highest ROI home improvements. Beyond appraisal value, a stone facade dramatically improves first impressions — which matters at both resale and in day-to-day satisfaction with your home. We're happy to walk you through what's realistic for your specific property during a free assessment.
Can you reface just part of my home — like the front skirt or base?+
Yes — partial refacing is one of our most common projects. Refacing just the foundation skirt or front-facing wall can dramatically change the look of your home at a fraction of a full reface. We'll assess your exterior and show you where targeted upgrades will have the most visual impact for your budget.

Repairs & Restoration
What is parging and does my home need it?+
Parging is a thin coat of mortar applied over your foundation wall to seal it against moisture, insects, and weathering. If your foundation is showing cracks, crumbling texture, or looks rough and unfinished, parging restores both its appearance and its protective function. It's one of the most cost-effective ways to protect and clean up the base of your home.
What is brick spalling and tuckpointing?+
Spalling is when the face of a brick begins to flake or break off — usually caused by moisture getting in and expanding during freeze-thaw cycles. Tuckpointing is the process of removing deteriorated mortar from between bricks and replacing it with fresh mortar to restore structural integrity and appearance. Both are signs of a moisture management issue that we identify and correct at the source — not just the surface.
My window sills are cracking — is that serious?+
Yes — a deteriorating window sill stops deflecting water away from your wall and starts funneling it into your home's structure. It's worth addressing sooner rather than later. We repair or replace damaged sills using stone or matching masonry materials, restoring both the waterproofing function and the look of your windows.
Do you handle chimney repairs?+
Yes. We repair chimney crowns, rebuild deteriorating chimney bodies, and address spalling at the flue and base. Like all our masonry work, we identify the source of the problem first — typically a failed moisture barrier — and fix it properly rather than just patching the surface.
❄️
Snow & Maintenance
Do you offer snow plowing and salting services?+
Yes — snow plowing and salting is offered through our All Seasons Maintenance division. We service residential driveways and walkways across the GTA. Contracts are available for the season so you're not scrambling after every snowfall. Contact us to lock in your spot before the season fills up.
When do you start taking snow removal contracts?+
We begin booking snow contracts in the fall before the season. Spots fill quickly — especially in Aurora, Newmarket, and the surrounding areas we cover — so we recommend reaching out in September or October to confirm availability for your property.
Is the snow removal team the same as the masonry crew?+
They operate as separate divisions under the same ASM ownership. Your masonry work is handled by our stone and construction crew, while snow and maintenance is coordinated through All Seasons Maintenance. The ownership, accountability, and standard of work is consistent across both — you're always dealing with the same business and the same commitment to quality.
Will you be expanding maintenance services beyond snow removal?+
Yes. Full property maintenance — including grounds keeping, garden care, lighting, irrigation, and seasonal services — is part of our planned expansion for next season. We're focused on delivering snow removal at a high standard first, then bringing the full maintenance offering back in a structured way. Stay tuned or reach out to be notified when those services open up.

Process & Pricing
How do I get started?+
The easiest way is to contact us through our website form or call us directly at 416-995-6288. We'll set up a free property assessment where we walk the site with you, discuss what you're looking to achieve, and provide an honest recommendation — along with a transparent, itemized quote.
Is the assessment really free with no obligation?+
Yes — completely free, no pressure. We walk your property, assess the condition, and give you our honest take on what needs to be done, what can wait, and what the best approach is for your budget. You're never obligated to book after an assessment.
How long does a typical masonry project take?+
It depends on the scope. A window sill repair or parging job can be completed in a day. A flagstone porch or full facade reface typically takes anywhere from three to seven days depending on size, materials, and weather. We give you a realistic timeline up front and keep you updated throughout.
Do you offer warranties on your work?+
Yes. We back our installation work with a warranty and use materials that carry their own manufacturer guarantees. The specifics vary by project type — we'll outline the warranty terms clearly in your quote so there are no surprises.
Do you handle permits for larger projects?+
For projects that require permits, we'll advise you on what's needed and guide you through the process. Most standard masonry repairs and exterior upgrades don't require permits, but larger structural work or additions may. We'll flag this during your assessment so you know exactly what to expect before work begins.
